Living on Slim, Blonde Street!

I really really really want to lose weight...really really!   Ive now got to the point where I am now bigger than I have ever been, and with that comes depression, embarrassment and the wanting to lock myself away feeling!
I went to a lovely Melbourne Cup Day BBQ on Tuesday. It was at a neighbours house. I seem to live in a street predominated by slim blonde woman!! egads!  Where's the fat, dumpy, mousy haired Street??   Anyway these woman are very nice, and also very pretty, and also rich enough to wear different clothes every time I see them, unlike me in my same old hugey size clothes! (yes Im whinging ;))
I'd already been dieting for a week at this point, so I tried to resist the scrumptious cakes, dips and fried stuff! I felt annoyed but strong. Last night I weighed myself and I'd lost two kilos...hip hip hooray! I treated myself to 2 chocolate gold coins I found in the back of the fridge.  I want to be slim, brown haired girl in slim blonde hair Street, I hope I can keep it up ;)
2 kilos down........lots to go! (I feel embarrassed to admit this but to get to my ideal weight I need to lose one 11 yr old and one 4 yr old...my children combined!)  *sigh*

Good luck! although it it sad we live in a world that dictates to us what we should look like. I am sure you are lovely as you are. but I really do understand how it feels to want to lock yourself away! big hugs! suzie. xxx

Yay! I agree with Fenandned. You need to be kind and loving to you instead of being mean to you. Which means not saying "yes I'm whingeing" when you're doing nothing of the sort :)

I know you are unhappy and so self-conscious and it's awful to feel that way. Keep going my darling :)

Good on you for loseing 2kgs. It's the best motivator, isn't it? I must admit too that I'm pretty sure I'm the biggest I've ever been (I don't weigh myself, too scared at what I'd see). And what street do you live on. Egads, that's alot of pressure.

Thanks so much Sarah, Suzie, Sue and Laura! It feels like a huge hill at the moment, but I do feel positive! Let the weight drop!! :)

Goodness - you and me both - although I don't know kilos so don't know what you weigh but if you're not happy then you certainly need to address it providing you have a healthy attitude towards it.

I wouldnt be so hard on yourself. Good on you for losing some weight already with such a positive attitude I bet the weight will come off easily, but dont forget to have the odd treat (chocolate coins sound good to me LOL!) X

I'm trying to lose a bit of weight at the moment too. Just a few kilos but enough to make me feel better.
I know what you mean about slim blonde street.
There's a private school at the end of our street and I think to have a child attend, every woman must be slim, blonde and drive a black 4WD.

Thanks, Greedy Nan (love that name!) and Vintage Kitten...maybe I am being too hard on myself, the problem is, sometimes I dont realise I am until someone points it out! It's good to stop and think "oi, stop giving yourself a hardtime!"
Stacey!! That's funny you should say that about slim blonde women haha :) I just thought today how three houses in a row have black 4wd...ahh I shouldnt sound like I have a vendetta, just a niggle! they are nice ladies :) good luck with your few kilos too!
